ORGANIZE SOMETHING
(Challenge 1)

The Challenge
Organize something each day for 30 days.

Why this Challenge?
I love organization, cleanliness, and simplicity, but you wouldn't guess that by looking at my surroundings.  The stack of mail, bills, and coupons by the door is literally eight inches tall.  My daughter's Halloween costume is still in our bedroom, waiting to be packed away.  My medicine cabinet has prescriptions from years ago (I know, that's dangerous).

My poor wife works tirelessly to run the household.  She has two major obstacles: my daughter and I.  Autumn has been nicknamed "the saboteur" because of her uncanny ability to obstruct any effort to clean the house.  For my part in the problem, I organize using a highly scientific method of creating massive piles of similar objects.  In the living room I have a mound of papers and books, in the mudroom I have a pile of tools, in the bedroom I have a pile of (clean) clothes.

I used to be far better about keeping things tidy, but life intervened.  I'm busy.  I have a 3 year-old.  My schedule is erratic.  But just because something is hard, doesn't mean that it isn't worth it.  Over the next 30 days, things are going to change!

Rules
  1. The area shouldn't just look nice, it should be organized to be easier to clean and use.
  2. No shifting messes to somewhere else.
