I spend a good 7-8 hours each day working (and playing) on my computer. I love computers, but they have the tendency to be far more disorganized (albeit digitally) than even the messiest room in your house. So, I have worked for the last four days tackling this problem.
Wednesday
Cleaned up my document folders
Deleted old stuff
Removed unused programs
Backed up my hard drive
Did a virus/spyware scan
Thursday
Cleaned up my pictures
Named the files by date
Organized into folders (1 folder for each year)
Friday
I went through all of the music on my computer
Deleted songs I don't like
Organized music into folders by artist
Renamed files by the song name (instead of Track 1, Track 2, etc.)
Saturday
Organized internet bookmarks (I know this sounds lame, but I have over a hundred bookmarks, and they really needed to be organized!)
